BKS Sovereign Knowledge Engine

An engine you install and run locally or on your own servers, indexing, searching, and semantically enriching your documents and data out of the box, and making them usable with local LLMs. Productized step by step from validated pilots.

What it is

A knowledge and automation layer, not another tool

Not a wiki, not a chatbot, not a DMS: an intelligent, locally controllable layer over your existing corporate information. It makes existing knowledge accessible instead of creating another silo.

The character stays the same across every stage: sovereign to operate, vendor-independent at the model and infrastructure level, built from reusable building blocks.

Deliberately not in the MVP

What we build later, on purpose

Focus also means leaving things out. These features belong in later versions, not in the first usable release.

  • Full multi-tenancy
  • Enterprise role model
  • Deep SharePoint/Confluence integration
  • Complex knowledge graph visualization
  • Extensive workflow engine
  • App marketplace
  • General-purpose no-code platform

Knowledge lifecycle

An auditable path from raw data to productive use

This is what sets the engine apart from approaches that dump documents straight into an index with no controlled lifecycle. Detection, classification, and entity extraction run automatically. Uncertain results are flagged and reviewed by a person where it matters. Only approved content becomes available for search, RAG, and automation.

Maturity

Step by step from pilots to version 1.0

  1. Stage 1

    MVP demo of the engine

  2. Stage 2

    First real-world pilots

  3. Stage 3

    Reusable components

  4. Stage 4

    v1.0 candidate

In the Knowledge Base Pilot, we index a bounded set of documents and measure search and answer quality.
